Onion Jam





Serves 8

 

Ingredients

Butter, 2 tbsp

Sweet Onions, 2 large, thinly sliced

Sugar, 2 tbsp

Thyme, 4 sprigs, leaves removed

Salt, small pinch

 

Directions

Heat butter in a sauté pan over medium heat.  Once melted add onions and thyme.  Cook for about 20 minutes until it gets thick, add salt to taste.  Set aside to cool and thicken even more. 

Use as a spread on burgers, or crostini with your favorite cheese.  Also great as a pizza or sandwich topping.
